To all our customers
I hope you and your families are keeping safe and well?
I just wanted to give you an update following the Government’s announcement on 24th June 2020 that hospitality businesses can now begin to re-open from 4th July. This is really great news and we cannot wait to welcome you back to the hotel, but there is still much detail to the guidance beginning to emerge and we need to take some time to plan the re-opening to ensure we incorporate all the requirements into our working routines to ensure it is safe for all staff, customers and suppliers.
I will keep you up to date with our planned re-opening date for overnight stays and restaurant visits but I expect this to be around the end of July. We are busy creating packages for Summer breaks and weekend visits in August and we will share the details of these shortly.
In the meantime, we will be opening our beautiful Estate Grounds for visitors to come and enjoy very soon, complete with nature trail and walking routes, as well as serving picnic lunches and takeaway meals. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages and our website for full details in the coming weeks. We hope you can join us for this!
Our events team are also getting ready to welcome perspective wedding couples to the hotel for private viewings and appointments and we are looking forward to showing them around our beautiful venue and grounds.
Our teams are still fully contactable by email on firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org and via telephone on 01200 445581. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you wish to discuss an existing or future booking.
We really look forward to seeing you again soon!

Private Viewings from 4th July
It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that we are now taking bookings for private appointments to view our beautiful venue for couples looking for their dream wedding!
After great consideration and reviewing Government guidance, we believe with social distancing that we can safely meet with couples and show them around our venue from Saturday 4th July. For the moment appointments must be limited to 2 people, plus the person showing them around. This is to allow for social distancing, but you are of course very welcome to take photographs and videos whilst you are with us to show your family and friends.
Our priority is always the safety of our guests and staff team which is why opening for viewings prior to this date is not possible, based on the advice given at the moment.
One week prior to the reopening for viewings we will assess the guidance on safety and social distancing and should further health and safety measures be advised such as facemasks and hand sanitiser we will contact you to let you know, and we will continuously review the guidance and update accordingly. If you wish to wear any facemasks or other protective wear for your visit, regardless of guidance, we are absolutely fine with that, what ever makes you feel comfortable.
Appointments are available on Thursdays to Sundays at a time to suit you (and we can offer alternative days if needed), and there will be ample time to tour the venue and allow time between appointments for us to properly prepare for the next appointment.
For more information or to book your private viewing of Stirk House, email us at: email@example.com
We really look forward to meeting you!

Important Wedding Information
We have received an update from the Lancashire County Council Registrars who perform the civil ceremonies – email below. Please note that this was a decision made by the registrars and not the hotel; this does not currently affect Church weddings.
We have contacted each wedding individually to discuss your options – if you have not received the email please check your junk emails. All weddings from 1st September 2020 are currently NOT affected and will therefore proceed as normal, in line with our current cancellation / postponement terms outlined in your contract.
We are still working from home so please bear with us but if you have anything urgent to discuss please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Email from Lancashire County Council Registrars:
Further to our email sent last week, and the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday, I can now outline our policy going forward:
- Considering the current position and government advice in regards to the coronavirus pandemic we have decided that the most appropriate course of action is for ceremonies to be postponed for the foreseeable future.
- Couples can be advised that any ceremonies due to take place over the coming Spring/Summer (until the end of August 2020) will not take place and will therefore be postponed unless they are contacted by Lancashire Registration Service beforehand.
- If there is some exceptional circumstance why a ceremony should proceed, such as a medical reason, the registration service will speak to the couple direct to discuss the options.
- We are currently working with all our couples that are postponing their ceremonies to confirm a future date for when their ceremony will proceed.”

Contacting the Hotel
Following the update from the UK Government yesterday evening we are now in the process of getting things set up for staff to work from home where possible, and so the best way to get in touch with the team at this time is via email.
Please bear with us whilst we adjust to this challenging and ongoing situation, and we will respond to any queries as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you are keeping safe and well during this difficult time. Should you need to contact the team, please do so via following email addresses:

A Message From Our Director
“To our customers, staff & suppliers
We are extremely sad to be announcing that due to the Government guidelines announced earlier this evening we will be closing the hotel on a temporary basis until the 1st May 2020.
We were looking forward to hosting many weddings, events, hotel stays, and meals and we will be in touch with all our customers over the coming days to make arrangements with them. Please be aware that we are exceptionally busy with these calls at the moment so please bear with us in this process – we will speak to everyone individually.
We will provide regular updates on expected timescales and developments during the coming weeks as it is possible that our opening date may be impacted by further Government decisions.
We wish everyone well and best wishes for the challenging times we are in. Please stay safe and healthy – we look forward to welcoming you back to Stirk House in the near future
