All of the 33 bedrooms at Stirk House reflect our commitment to comfort and combine character, style and luxury. Guests can expect rooms equipped with all the customary modern conveniences, with the addition of thoughtful added touches to make your stay truly memorable. Here you’ll find some more information about the different types of rooms available, both in the main house and also our Lodge building, which features ground-floor and dog-friendly rooms with beautiful views of the countryside.

Our helpful, friendly staff are always on hand to make sure your stay is as comfortable and special as it possibly can be; we cater for all ages so please let us know at the time of booking if you need a child’s bed or cot in your room or would like a ground floor room for accessibility reasons.

The Gisburn Suite

Max: 2 Adults

Experience the charm of the Gisburn Suite, where opulence meets comfort. This spacious suite features a luxurious bedroom, a cosy lounge area, a free-standing bath alongside a double shower. Take in the breathtaking views of the Ribble Valley countryside through the exquisite stone mullion windows from this truly special room. The Gisburn Suite offers a dreamy escape, perfect for romantic getaways or special occasions. With its popularity among guests, the room is also the Honeymoon Suite for our wedding couples.

Two-Bedroom Suites

Max: 4 Adults

Whether you are on a family holiday or travelling with friends, our two-bedroom suites provide a spacious and pleasant option for your stay. Located within the main hotel (some with a number of stairs) these rooms include a king-size bed, two single beds plus with an option of using a sofa-bed for an additional guest.

Superior Double Rooms

Our Superior Double Rooms are elegantly furnished and equipped with modern amenities including a TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities. The Superior Double Rooms at the hotel each have a small seating area, providing a relaxing spot to unwind after a busy day of exploring the Ribble Valley.

Classic Double Rooms

Max: 2 Adults

Discover the perfect retreat with our Classic Double Rooms, ideal for both leisure and business travellers. Experience tranquility in a serene countryside setting that guarantees a restful night’s sleep. Most of our rooms feature a luxurious bath with a shower above, ensuring you have all the comforts of home. For those who prefer a quick refresh, we also offer a select few rooms with shower-only options. 

Standard Double Rooms

Max: 2 Adults

Relax and unwind in comfort in one of our Standard Double Rooms. With tasteful décor creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere, most rooms have a bath with shower above (however some are shower only). Our Standard Double rooms provide great value for money, making them a popular choice for both business and leisure travellers.

Classic Twin Rooms

Max: 2 Adults

Experience the ultimate comfort in our Classic Twin Rooms, thoughtfully designed to make your stay truly memorable. These cosy rooms are in both the main hotel and the Lodge, and are shower-only. Unwind in a space that feels like home, the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the local area. Choose our Classic Twin Rooms for your next getaway and enjoy a delightful blend of comfort and convenience.

Checking In/Checking Out Times

Check In time is from 3.30pm – You are welcome to arrive at the hotel earlier in the day to enjoy the hotel and grounds but unfortunately we are not routinely able to offer rooms for early check in, and we appreciate your understanding of this.

Check Out time is 10:30am – We would be grateful if you could ensure your room is vacated by 10:30am on the day of departure and your final bill is settled.  Once you have checked out, you are welcome to stay at the hotel for the remainder of the day and enjoy the hotel and the grounds.

Occasionally it may be possible to arrange a later check out time for an additional fee but this is only with prior arrangement and agreement.  If the room is not vacated by 10:30am, then an additional charge of £25.00 will be made as this impacts on the preparation of the room for our next guest.  Should the delay be excessive (beyond 1pm on the day of departure) the charge made will be the equivalent of a nightly rate for that day.
