As well as our comfortable guest rooms in The Lodge, well-behaved dogs are also welcome in The Conservatory, Lounge, Bar and Patio areas of the hotel, provided they’re on their lead. One dog per room can join you for your stay for a nightly charge of £20.00. As we do have a number of animals that live in the Estate Grounds we kindly ask that dogs are kept on a lead and under control so as not to frighten any wildlife.
Walkies! The Local Area
At Stirk House we’re lucky to be surrounded by so many picturesque locations and fabulous places for spend the day exploring. Venue out with your pup and head to places like Gisburn Forest, Beacon Fell Country Park or the famous Pendle Hill.
With so many wonderful places close to the hotel, dogs of all ages and walking abilities can enjoy a fun day out in the Ribble Valley this June. Find out more about dog-friendly walks in the area:
Dogs are welcome to stay in our comfortable guest rooms situated in The Lodge. All of the rooms in The Lodge feature the most spectacular views of the grounds at the hotel and the surrounding countryside – Perfect to look out at whilst planning your next adventure with your pup!
The Lodge is just a short walk from the main house, and all of the bedrooms in this charming building are ground level. One of our most popular suites (51), is located in The Lodge and is available for you to book as part of our dog-friendly stays this June. This impressive suite includes a spacious bedroom and separate lounge with your own private dining area.

Reservations that include dogs must be booked personally with one of our Reservations Team to ensure all details are covered.
Only one dog per room allowed.
Dogs can only be accommodated in our Lodge Rooms, please enquire directly to ensure one of our dog-friendly rooms are available. Should you book this online, please be aware that if we are unable to accommodate you in a dog-friendly Lodge Room then we will contact to you to amend or cancel your reservation.
A £20.00 nightly charge is applied to cover the additional deep cleaning of the room following your departure.
Dogs are not allowed on days the hotel has a wedding.
In the unfortunate event of any damage to the bedroom or any area of the hotel, additional charges will be made to cover the replacement/repair required.
On no account can any dog be left unattended in your bedroom at any time.
Dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture.
Clean, well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the Lounge Bar, Lounge and Conservatory. Any dogs that act in an unsavoury or anti-social way in the hotel will be required to be put into the owner’s vehicle.
There are some lovely walks from the hotel to exercise your dog. Dog owners must keep dogs under close control around the grounds especially not to chase deer or hares and not to “spook” the pheasants. Be mindful of the Countryside Code when exploring the local area.
Dog waste bags are available to help keep the hotel grounds and car park clean when walking your dog, please enquire at Reception.
We don’t allow dogs in Seasons Restaurant, but we are more than happy for you to dine in the Lounge Bar, Lounge, Patio or Conservatory, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner (please note these are low tables).
